EHF Umpire Education - a quick update

As the EHF Indoor season ends, the EHF Education committee turns to outdoor and opportunities for further education of our Umpires.

March is a busy month with the Women's Umpires Seminar from 10/11 March in Amsterdam.

A group of female umpires from across Europe have been invited to attend a Women's Umpiring Seminar in Amsterdam next weekend. The seminar is targeted at women aged 30 - 40 years who were not part of the UDP, and had not in the past attended an umpiring seminar. The aim was to help those umpires in their control and management of games as Senior umpires. The seminar will be led by Maragaret Hunnaball and Edna Rutten with Yolande Brada and Rene Cohen. It is an exciting opportunity to use the mix of experience and talent, and the mentors experience and talent to help and assist those who are umpiring in Europe and beyond to ensure that they can take the lead as the senior umpire and can develop to their full potential.

On the UDP front Group 4 & 5 have a practical weekend Scotland from 6 - 18 March.

8 members of Groups 4 & 5 are attending a Practical weekend in Scotland where they will be umpiring in the Scottish National League Division 1 and in the 1/4 Finals of the Scottish Cup. The event will be based in Glasgow with the UDP umpires umpiring in Dundee, and Glasgow. Henrik Ehlers and Jean Duncan are leading ther seminar on behalf of the EHF, with Aileen Ross, Anne McRae and Norrie Urquhart assisting with mentoring over the weekend.
